  1. If BCM diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BCM diagnostic system check was not performed, go to BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. If vehicle is a Century Custom model, go to next step. If vehicle is not a Century Custom model, go to step 3).
  3. Century Custom model is not equipped with RAP feature. Permanently disable DTC B0702 by reprogramming BCM. See BCM PROGRAMMING  . Recheck system operation.
  4. Turn ignition off. Open a vehicle door. Disconnect BCM 32-pin connector C1. Using test light, backprobe between ground and BCM connector C1 terminal C5 (Black wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 6).
  5. Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Turn ignition off. Open a vehicle door. Turn ignition on. Check for DTCs. If DTC B0702 sets again, go to step 11). If DTC B0702 does not set again, system is operating properly.
  6. Using test light, backprobe between battery voltage and BCM harness connector C1 terminal C5 (Black wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 8).
  7. Leave test light connected as specified in step 6). Remove RAP relay, located behind glove box, mounted to underside of cross car beam. If test light illuminates, go to step 12). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 9).
  8. Using test light, backprobe between ground and RAP relay harness connector terminal A1 (Black wire). If test light illuminates, go to step 13). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 10).
  9. Replace RAP relay. Go to step 14).
  10. Using test light, backprobe between ground and RAP relay harness connector terminal C2 (Orange wire). If test light illuminates, go tostep 9). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 15).
  11. Turn ignition off. Replace BCM. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Reprogram BCM. See BCM PROGRAMMING. Go to step 14).
  12. Repair short to ground in Black wire between RAP relay and BCM connector C1. Go to step 14).
  13. Repair poor connection or open in Black wire between RAP relay and BCM connector C1. Go to next step.
  14. Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Turn ignition off. Open vehicle door. Perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  15. Repair poor connection or open in Orange wire between RAP relay and instrument panel fuse block. Go to step 14).
