Driver's Door Lock Or Unlock Function Inoperative, Passenger
DOOR LOCKS OPERATE NORMALLY
- If power door locks do not operate correctly, see appropriate DOOR LOCKS - POWER article in this section. If power door locks do operate correctly, go to next step.
- Backprobe Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) connector C1 with a test light between terminal "E" (White wire) and ground. Press and hold front door lock switch in unlock position. If test light lights, go to next step. If test light does not light, repair open circuit in White wire.
- Backprobe RCDLR connector C2 with a test light between terminal "D" (Tan wire) and ground. If test light does not light, go to next step. If test light lights, check for short to voltage in Tan wire.
- Backprobe RCDLR connector C2 with a test light between terminal "D" (Tan wire) and ground. Press and hold front door lock switch in unlock position. If test light lights, go to next step. If test light does not light, check for short to ground in Tan wire.
- Backprobe RCDLR connector C2 with a test light between terminals "A" (Orange wire) and "D" (Tan wire). If test light does not light, check for poor connection at RCDLR C2 connector. If test light lights, check for open circuit in Gray wire between door lock relay terminal "B" and lock actuator, or open circuit in Tan wire between RCDLR and lock actuator. Also check for poor connection at driver's door lock actuator. If all circuits are okay, replace driver's door lock actuator.
