Passkey/Security Indicator On Steady, Engine Starts
- Disconnect theft deterrent module connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If PASSKEY/SECURITY indicator illuminates, check for short to ground in Gray wire between instrument cluster and theft deterrent module. If Gray wire is okay, check for shorts in instrument cluster printed circuit. Replace as necessary.
- If PASSKEY/SECURITY indicator does not illuminate, perform lock cylinder and harness test. See LOCK CYLINDER & HARNESS TEST . If keys, lock cylinder and lock cylinder harness are okay, replace theft deterrent module.
