Cruise Indicator Inoperative

  1. Disconnect cruise control module connector. Connect a 3-amp fused jumper between cruise control module connector terminal "J" (Light Blue/Black wire) and ground. Turn ignition on (engine off). If CRUISE indicator is not on, go to next step. If CRUISE indicator is on, check for a poor connection in Light Blue/Black wire. If circuit is okay, replace cruise control module. See CRUISE CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Check for a poor connection, short to power, or open in Light Blue/Black wire between instrument cluster, PCM and cruise control module. If circuit is okay, repair instrument cluster. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANEL article.
