Indicator Inoperative

  1. Disconnect tailgate lock ajar switch Dark Green wire outside of tailgate. Using voltmeter, measure voltage between switch terminal "D" (Dark Green wire) and ground. If no voltage is present, check for poor connection in Dark Green wire circuit. If circuit is okay, repair or replace IPC.
  2. If battery voltage is present, disconnect tailgate lower lock ajar switch in tailgate. Reconnect tailgate lower lock ajar switch outside of tailgate. Measure voltage between switch connector terminals "A" (Dark Green wire) and "B" (Black wire).
  3. If no voltage is present, repair open circuit in switch Black ground wire. If battery voltage is present, check connections at tailgate lower lock ajar switch. If connections are okay, replace tailgate lower lock ajar switch.
