Remote Keyless Entry Lock/Unlock Isolation Test

  1. Connect Tech 1 to Data Link Connector (DLC). Command Tech 1 to unlock left front door. If only left front door unlocks, go to next step. If left front door does not unlock, perform the LEFT FRONT DOOR ISOLATION RELAY  test.
  2. Command Tech 1 to unlock all doors. If all doors unlock, go to next step. If all doors do not unlock, perform the REMOTE DOOR LOCKING TEST  .
  3. Using Tech 1 Remote Accessory Control (RAC) data list function, select TRANSMITTER 1 and TRANSMITTER 2. Press all transmitter buttons. If Tech 1 recognizes some but not all buttons, go to next step. If Tech 1 recognizes all buttons, check RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace RAC module.
  4. Repeat test using second transmitter supplied with vehicle. If Tech 1 recognizes all buttons, replace transmitter. If Tech 1 recognizes some but not all buttons, check RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace RAC module.
