Intermediate Servo Assembly: Notes

NOTE: DO NOT  remove servo piston oil seals unless servo piston is to be replaced.
NOTE: Perform Band Apply Pin Selection Check to determine correct pin to be used during reassembly.
  1. Remove all, except 2, oil pan bolts. Leave these 2 bolts finger tight. Tap oil pan loose with rubber mallet. Remove bolts, oil pan and oil strainer. Discard oil strainer "O" ring.
  2. Remove reverse oil pipe retaining bracket-to-servo cover bolt. Remove remaining servo cover bolts. Lift off intermediate servo cover and gasket. Remove intermediate servo assembly. See Fig 1 .
  3. If necessary, detach snap ring, and remove intermediate band apply pin from intermediate servo piston. Discard oil seals. Remove 3rd accumulator exhaust valve and spring. See Fig 1 . Inspect spring and exhaust valve for wear or damage. See Fig 2 .
