Test S - Main Relay Ground
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS main relay. Remove fuse No. 5B from instrument panel fuse block. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
- Measure voltage between ground and main relay Black connector terminal No. 30. See Figure . Battery voltage should be present. If battery voltage is not present, check and repair open in anti-lock diode and circuits No. 852 (White wire) and No. 1633 (Red wire).
- Measure voltage between main relay Black connector terminals No. 30 (+) and 87A ( - ). Battery voltage should be present. If battery voltage is not present, check and repair open in circuit No. 251 (Black/White wire).
- Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ground and main relay Black connector terminal No. 85. Resistance should be more than 5 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, check and repair short to ground in circuit No. 1632 (Pink wire). If Pink wire is okay, check EBCM/EBTCM connector terminals for poor contact. If EBCM/EBTCM terminals are okay, replace EBCM/EBTCM.
- Check resistance between ABS main relay terminals No. 30 and 87A. See Figure . Resistance should be less than 3 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace ABS main relay.
- After all repairs are complete, clear codes, and perform ABS/TCS functional check. See Figure .
