Test Dd - Traction Off Indicator Test

  1. Perform ABS/TCS functional check before proceeding. See Figure . Turn ignition off. Disconnect EBTCM connector. Connect Pinout Box (J-38716). Turn ignition on. Connect fused jumper wire between pinout box pins No. 1 and 44. See Figure . TRACTION OFF indicator should be on. If TRACTION OFF indicator is on, circuit is functioning properly.
  2. If TRACTION OFF indicator light is off, check for open in circuit No. 1572 (Purple/White wire). Check EBTCM connector terminal No. 44 (Purple/White wire) for proper contact. Check instrument cluster terminal No. 10 Purple/White wire for proper contact. If Purple/White wire and contacts are okay, replace EBTCM. After all repairs are complete, clear codes, and repeat ABS/TCS functional check. See Figure .
