Throttle Body (PFI): Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure using new gasket. Tighten retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Refill cooling system, if drained.
  2. If installing new Idle Air Control (IAC), ensure IAC pintle length setting is adjusted before installation. See IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) VALVE . Adjust idle speed and TPS (if removed and if adjustable). See ADJUSTMENTS article in this section.
