Change Oil Soon Indicator Test

  1. Disconnect 12-pin oil life module. See Figure -9. Ensure battery voltage is present at pins "E" and "F" of module connector. Ensure ground is present at pins "L" and "M" of module connector. If battery voltage and ground are not present at indicated terminals, check appropriate wiring.
  2. If battery voltage and ground are present as specified, ground pin "J" of module connector using a fused jumper. CHANGE OIL SOON indicator should illuminate. If indicator does not illuminate, check bulb and wiring. If bulb and wiring are okay, replace oil life module.
