Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Connector Pin Test
- Remove IPC. See AIR BAG PRECAUTIONS . See, under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION, INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) . See Fig 1 -13 for voltage and resistance specifications. Make all measurements with ignition switch in RUN position (except when measuring resistance).
- Make all measurements to ground (with negative battery disconnected), unless a specific terminal is given. See appropriate test under TESTING. If voltage or resistance readings at terminals being tested are correct, and particular component using those terminals does not operate, check wires, bulbs and printed circuit. If wiring, bulbs and printed circuit are okay, replace IPC. If correct voltage or resistance is NOT found at a terminal, check circuit for malfunction.
