Trim Panel: Installation

  1. Install courtesy lamp connector to door trim panel (2), if equipped. See Fig 1 .
  2. Install mirror control knob (4). Tighten setscrew (5) connecting mirror control knob (4) to bezel assembly (7). See Fig 2 .
  3. Pull electrical connectors through respective cutouts in door trim panel (2). See Fig 1 .
  4. Replace any damaged retainers (1) on door trim panel (2).
  5. Install door trim panel (2), using a clean rubber mallet to seat retainers (1). See Fig 1 .
  6. Install screw (127). Locate door panel screw hole between armrest and map pocket opening, if front door. Locate door panel screw hole, below rear edge of carpeted section, if rear door. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Install armrest See ARMREST  .
  8. Install inside pull handle. See PULL HANDLE  .
  9. Install screws underneath pull handle.
  10. Connect power door lock connector to power door lock switch, if equipped.
  11. Install side window switch floodlamp, if equipped.
    • Twist 90 degrees to secure.
    • Snap bezel assembly (7) to door trim panel (2). See Fig 3 .
    • Make sure lock rod is connected to manual lock rod lever (126). See Fig 3 .
  12. Install screw (8) connecting bezel assembly (7) to door trim panel (2). See Fig 3 . See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  13. Connect power seat connector to armrest switch plate (3), if equipped. See Figure .
  14. Connect power window connector to armrest switch plate (3).
  15. Install armrest switch plate (3).
  16. Connect negative battery cable.
