Cruise control servo switch must be on for this test to work. This manual override allows by-passing of the cruise control automatic calculation function. Cruise control position can be controlled by percentage from zero to 99. This allows technician to compare requested cruise position with cruise servo position (ED28). The 2 should agree with each other within 3 percent. Since this test is not allowed with engine running, there will be only enough vacuum available to stroke servo one time. Pressing TEMP UP button will increase cruise percentage and pressing TEMP DOWN button will decrease cruise percentage.
