Test C: Valve Control Test

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Reconnect PMV Black C1 harness connector. Disconnect EBCM harness connector. Connect Pinout Box (J-38716). Disconnect main relay harness connector. Go to next step.
  2. Using DVOM connected to pinout box terminal No. 3, individually measure resistance at pinout box terminals No. 2, 18, 20, 21, 36, 38, 54 and 55. Indicated resistance should be less than 10 ohms. Go to next step.
  3. Using DVOM connected to ground, individually measure resistance at pinout box terminals No. 2, 18, 20, 21, 36, 38, 54 and 55. Indicated resistance should be infinite. Go to next step.
  4. If all readings are within specifications, replace EBCM. See ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE (EBCM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If any reading is not as specified, repair open or short to ground in appropriate solenoid valve wiring. Go to next step.
  5. After all repairs are complete, clear codes, and perform ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK  .
