System Check

Perform steps below and observe reaction of automatic seat belt system. If results are not a specified, testing is required.

• With LH front seat belt buckled, open LH front door. Lap and shoulder belt should extend smoothly, allowing door to open freely.
• While sitting in driver's seat, close door. Lap and shoulder belts should retract smoothly to fit driver.
• Turn ignition switch to RUN. FASTEN BELTS indicator should illuminate, then go off.
• With ignition switch still in RUN position, open LH front door. FASTEN BELTS indicator should illuminate for as long as door is open.
• Repeat above steps for RH front. Results should be similar.
