Chart B2 & B3 EBCM Loop Circuit Open Or Shorted

  1. EBCM has a normally closed loop from pin No. 9 through fluid level sensor (located on fluid reservoir) and pressure switch (located on hydraulic unit) back to EBCM pin No. 10. Voltage at pin No. 9 is normally 12 volts.
  2. If pin No. 10 detects drop in voltage, EBCM partially disables ABS. If accumulator pressure drops below 1500 psi (10,350 kPa), pressure switch opens, dropping voltage to pin No. 10. Pressure switch will automatically reset when pressure reaches 1900 psi (13,100 kPa).
  3. A reed switch and float, inside reservoir, activate and deactivate fluid level sensor. When EBCM detects problem, anti-lock control to front wheels is disabled. Rear anti-lock function will still operate.
