Sensor Calibration

  1. If an ambient or in-car temperature sensor is suspected, disconnect sensor, and take a resistance reading across sensor terminals. If resistance reading is not within 5% of ideal curves indicated in graph, replace sensor. See Fig 1.
    NOTE: Resistance readings may vary by 5% from ideal.

  2. If resistance is within specification, check continuity of wires from control panel to sensors. If wires are OK, control panel is defective.
