Power Windows - Side: Description

Power window system uses reversible electric motor located in each door. Each motor contains a circuit breaker and a self-locking gear drive. Individual switches are used for all passenger windows. Motor unit is attached to the window regulator with rivets.

Camaro, Corvette, and Firebird use a pair of single switches mounted on the console and no door switches. On all other models, driver's door has a single, 4-button switch or 2 double-button switches. All models are grounded through the master or console switch.

A junction block located on left shroud connects body power accessories to chassis wiring. Power window wiring harness plugs into the accessory block. A 30 amp circuit breaker mounted on fuse panel protects wiring for all power window systems.
