Remove range extender electrical machine electronics (REME)

WARNING: High-voltage system .
The high-voltage system works with dangerous electrical I voltage and high currents flow. Mortal hazard through electric shock!

All work on the high-voltage system may only be carried out by specially trained and technically experienced personnel.

WARNING: Potential equalization in high-voltage system .
Mortal hazard if the potential equalization screw connection is not correct!

Observe the safety requirements for potential equalization screw connection.
Clean contact faces and have then checked by a second person.
Tighten the screws/nuts for equipotential bonding with torque; have a second person check the torque.
Correct execution of this work must be documented by both persons in the vehicle records.

Make sure the vehicle has gone to sleep before de-energizing the high-voltage system.
Observe a waiting period of at least 2 minutes.

Unscrew the bolts (1) on the heat shield.
Guide out and remove the heat shield (2) .

Unlock and disconnect the high-voltage safety plug (1) .
Loosen screws (2) .
Disconnect high-voltage connector (3) .
Unlock and disconnect the signal connector (4) .
Detach the high-voltage cable from the clamps (5) .
Unlock and disconnect the connector (6) from the high-voltage cable.

Unscrew the screw (1) of the potential equalization line (2) .
Unlock and disconnect the coolant hoses (3) .

Loosen screws (1) .
Loosen nut (2) .
