Venting the low-temperature cooling system
Precondition
The heater circuit is filled and bled.
- Connect the vehicle to the charging socket.
- Switch the ignition on. Do not operate the brake pedal during this procedure.
- Switch on low-beam headlight.
- Operate the parking brake button P (park) on the selector lever.
- Apply parking brake.
- Set heating to maximum temperature.
- Operate and hold brake pedal
- Floor the accelerator pedal and hold it for a maximum of 10 s.
The automatic cooling system bleeding procedure will be initiated.
The cooling system bleeding procedure ends automatically after approximately 12 minutes.
Coolant will no longer flow through the ventilation line into the coolant expansion tank.
- Check the fill level in the coolant expansion tank.
- Adjust the coolant level in the coolant expansion tank for the low-temperature coolant circuit to the maximum mark.
- Close the coolant expansion tank (2) with the sealing cap (1).
