Follow safety instructions for working on vehicles with automatic engine start-stop function (MSA)
WARNING:
With a engine compartment lid contact pulled upwards (workshop mode), the "switch closed" information is issued.

Observe safety precautions when working on MSA vehicles!
Before working on the engine, always switch off the MSA functionality, in order to prevent an automatic engine start during work in the engine compartment.
MSA function is deactivated by:
- Deactivate MSA via button (1) in the passenger compartment
- Seat belt buckle and open the driver's door
- Open the engine compartment lid and make sure the engine compartment lid contact is not in workshop mode
- Workshop mode
A = 10 mm
- Basic setting (hood open)
B = 7 mm
To the basic setting of the engine compartment lid contact, if necessary, to floor and before beginning work as far as it will go slowly release the engine compartment lid contact.
