Parking light

The Body Domain Controller (BDC) activates the side lights and the tail light on the selected side of the vehicle for the parking light lighting function.

The steering column switch (turn signal/high beam switch) must be moved upwards or downwards for longer than 0.5 seconds during terminal 30 ON. This time delay prevents the parking lights from being switched on inadvertently, for instance, when the driver brushes against the turn signal/high beam switch when exiting the vehicle. Upon request of the Body Domain Controller (BDC), the Frontal Light Electronics Left (FLEL) or Frontal Light Electronics Right (FLER) switches on the parking light in the headlight on the selected side of the vehicle.
