Partially Installing The Propeller Shaft
- Check the centering (1) and replace it if necessary.
- Grease centering (1).
- Assemble the screw connections (1) of the flexible disc (2) and the three-hole flange (3) according to the self-affixed identification.
This should prevent a humming noise from the drive train during driving.
- Apply the screws (arrows) until hand-tight, do not tighten yet.
- Center mount with TOP marking:
- The center mount (1) must be installed with the TOP marking at the top in the transmission tunnel.
- Position center mount.
- Hand-tighten the bolts (1), but do not tighten fully.
- Replace screws.

- Provide counter support for the bolts of the flexible disc on the nut and tighten.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
Rear flexible disc to transmission output flange M12
Replace screws.
Jointing torque and angle of rotation must be observed without fail.
Tightening via screw.Jointing torque 55 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - Secure the special tool 0 490 504 (00 9 120) with the special tool 0 495 108 (00 9 130) on the vehicle underbody and continue to screw it in according to the angle of rotation.
- Tighten the screws (1).
