Safety requirements

Deactivate the following preconditions (traffic jam assistant function off or in standby mode) for the traffic jam assistant function:

• The active cruise control with Stop & Go function is not functionally ready
• Maximum driving speed for the system traffic jam assistant exceeded
• Road category not approved for the traffic jam assistant function
• Hands not detected on steering wheel
• Steering action by the driver exceeds specified value (for example, value stands at over 2.5 Nm due to oversteering by the driver)
• Minimum width for the lane undershot
• Turn indicator operated
• Preceding vehicle not detected
• The driver leaves the vehicle, secured by door contact, seat belt buckle and brake pedal (automatic transmission)
• Switch off via traffic jam assistant button
