Multifunction steering wheel
The traffic jam assistant function is set to standby mode when the traffic jam assistant button is pressed. Pressing the button again causes the function to be switched off.
The traffic jam assistant button is integrated into the left keypad in the multifunction steering wheel.
The left-hand button pad in the multifunction steering wheel has the following functions:
- Setting the desired driving speed
- Cruise control with brake function or active cruise control
- Switch traffic jam assistant on or off
The steering column switch cluster acquires the button signals from the steering column stalks. These signals are forwarded by the steering column switch cluster on the LIN bus to the respective control units.
