ACC: Sensor and control unit
The ACC sensor and the ACC control unit are one component. That means: The ACC sensor is integrated with the ACC control unit (ACC = active cruise control).
The ACC sensor is a radar sensor, which is capable of both long-range detection (up to 200 meters) and short-range detection (up to 60 meters) in front of the vehicle.
The ACC sensor detects the distance, angle and speed of moving objects. The ACC control unit reads in the signals from the ACC sensor and implements the signals as a message to the data bus.
