Roof function center (FZD), high version

The High variant of the roof function center (FZD) has its own control unit, the FZD control unit.

In the high version, the roof function center (FZD) contains the following components:

• Indicator lamp for front passenger airbag deactivation
• Sliding/tilting sunroof switch
• SOS button with emergency call LED
• Ultrasonic interior movement detector (USIS) with ultrasonic interior sensors

Depending on the equipment, various versions of the roof function center (FZD) are possible for the high version.

Even though the front interior lighting is positioned in the roof function center, it is not described here. The slide/tilt sunroof is available as an optional extra. The slide/tilt sunroof consists of a glass slide/tilt sunroof panel that can be opened or raised. 2. Manually operated roller sunblinds allow the glass slide/tilt sunroof panel to be released so that daylight can penetrate into the vehicle interior.

The slide/tilt sunroof is activated via a electric motor.

If the vehicle is equipped with an alarm system, the ultrasonic interior movement detector (USIS) is integrated within the roof function center (FZD). The siren with tilt alarm sensor is connected to the roof control panel (FZD) via the LIN bus.
