ID transmitter
The ID transmitter allows the vehicle to be unlocked, locked or deadlocked via radio remote control.
If the vehicle is equipped with Comfort Access, the vehicle can be unlocked and/or locked without active use of the ID transmitter.
The radio signals from the ID transmitter are received by the remote control receiver and transferred to the Body Domain Controller (BDC).
Authentication of the radio signal is then performed within the Body Domain Controller. If the request is duly authorized, the Body Domain Controller initiates unlocking or locking of the vehicle.
The following functions (depending on the vehicle equipment) are activated by the ID transmitter:
- Locking and unlocking central locking system
- Activation and deactivation of the anti-theft alarm system
- Deactivating the tilt sensor and interior movement detector
- Triggering the panic mode (if encoded)
- Unlock tailgate
- Opening and closing the tailgate
- Switching on the interior lighting
- Opening and closing power window regulators and slide/tilt sunroof with convenient opening and convenient closing
