Check of temperature sensors: Notes

Even though the loss in energy conversion within in the electrical machine is lower than within in the combustion engine, the electrical machine may heat up during operation. In order to prevent damage to the component due to high temperature, the electrical machine is equipped with 2 temperature sensors. Both temperature sensors are located in the coils of the stator. The electrical machine electronics (EME) evaluate these temperature signals and requests the cooling of the electrical machine according to the requirements or reduces the power of the electrical machine when the temperature is very high.
