Touchbox (TBX)

The Touchbox (TBX) is a control unit for character recognition. The Touchbox is the interface between the controller and the rear-compartment controller and the head unit. The TBX processes the data coming from the controller Touchpad. During this, the main task is to identify the characters from the "point cloud" coming from the controller.

For example, the following fonts are currently supported:

Signal shape for character recognition: Controller (CON) > K-CAN2 > Touchbox (TBX) > K-CAN2 > Head unit High (HU-H) 

The touchbox (TBX) is supplied with power from the front power distribution box with terminal 30B. The ground supply comes from the body (BMW i: ground support points).
