Functional limitations of the ConnectedDrive services: Notes
The ConnectedDrive services network the motor vehicle with its surrounding area and open up a world of networked functions and services to the customer. To ensure the positive customer experience linked with connected services functions perfectly in the motor vehicle, it is necessary that many different systems are optimally adapted to each other and interlink with each other.
When the connected services are being used, the vehicle is only one part of the complete system designed to enable the customer functions. An available mobile network connection as well as central IT systems from ConnectedDrive are other important components of the complete system. To be able to use ConnectedDrive services, the following prerequisites are required:
- An existing and valid ConnectedDrive contract.
- A vehicle with a telematics control unit capable of transmitting and an integrated SIM card.
- The online services in the vehicle must be enabled and updated.
- An available mobile phone network for the data transfer of service information.
- A ConnectedDrive IT system that functions in the background to provide the information for the service.
- Via the Aftersales application ConnectedDrive Service Cockpit.
- Via the vehicle menu.
