Comfort Access: Notes
Comfort Access is available as optional equipment SA322.
For vehicles with comfort access, the remote key will be called an ID transmitter.
The comfort access makes it possible to unlock and lock the vehicle without the active use of the ID transmitter. The vehicle automatically recognizes the ID transmitter near the vehicle or inside of the passenger compartment.
The Comfort Access control occurs entirely within the Body Domain Controller (BDC). As master control unit for the central locking system, the Body Domain Controller (BDC) has overall responsibility for the Comfort Access.
The comfort access supports the following functions:
- Ground lights
- Unlocking and locking the vehicle
- Convenient closing of the side windows and slide/tilt sunroof
- Unlock tailgate separately
- Contact-free tailgate opening
- Close soft top.
