Remote control receiver
The radio signals from the ID transmitter are received by the remote control receiver. The remote control receiver transmits the signals on the LIN bus to the Body Domain Controller (BDC).
The remote control receiver has a transmitter/receiver module. This enables communication to be established between ID transmitter and remote control receiver. The radio signal is then demodulated, processed and checked in the remote control receiver. That means: The radio signal from the ID transmitter contains a vehicle-specific constant 'value' which is checked by the remote control receiver. The information is only passed to the Body Domain Controller (BDC) if this value is correct. This means: Radio signals from remote keys of other vehicles (including those in the same product line) have no effect on the release and comfort access.
Authentication of the radio signal is then performed within the Body Domain Controller (BDC). If the request is duly authorized, the Body Domain Controller (BDC) initiates unlocking or locking of the vehicle.
