Bonnet button
The engine compartment lid can be unlocked both from the passenger compartment via a button on the A-pillar and via the ID transmitter. The unlocking take place electrically in each case. Via an emergency release, the engine compartment lid can be mechanically unlocked during an electrical fault.
The engine compartment lid button is connected to the Body Domain Controller (BDC) by a 4-pin plug connection. The button is supplied by the Body Domain Controller (BDC) with the locator lighting (terminal 58g).
The button of the engine compartment lid is a series in the US version and for the optional equipment Comfort Access (SA322).
