41 00... Installing/Replacing Blind Rivet Nut On Outer Side Frame

IMPORTANT:
The following repair instructions are a schematic description. The instructions describe replacement of the blind rivet nut (BMW part number 07 14 7 354 948).
When replacing other blind rivet nuts, the drilling diameter must be chosen so that it is 0.5 mm less than the diameter of the blind rivet nut in order to prevent damage to the carbon part.
When replacing other blind rivet nuts, the drilling diameter must be chosen so that it is 0.5 mm less than the diameter of the blind rivet nut in order to prevent damage to the carbon part.
IMPORTANT:
To prevent blind rivet nut from turning, rivet head (1) must be secured against turning with an open-end spanner (SW19).
Carefully drill through the rivet head (1) with Ø9 mm drill (3).
Hand-held riveting device MB512:
IMPORTANT:
Follow the manufacturer's operating instructions.
Make sure blind rivet nut correctly contacts component.
Set the blind rivet nut with hand-held rivet device (1).
