41 00... Repair Ground Pin
If a ground pin is damaged, then it should be replaced by a blind rivet nut positioned, if possible, at the same position.
The only exception is rear end on the right side. Other positions are used here for the reasons of accessibility.

If required, remove residue of cut-off ground pin (1).
Mark position of bore hole (1) and punch-mark component.
Attention!
Wear safety goggles.
Drill a bore hole (1) with 13 mm diameter and deburr it; predrill with a smaller drill if necessary.
Counter-bore a bore hole (1).
Countersink depth 2 mm.
- the knurling on the blind rivet nut is rendered useless
- the component will be damaged when the blind rivet nut is set
Hand-held riveting device MB512:
Make sure blind rivet nut correctly contacts component.
Select blind rivet nut M10 depending upon material thickness.
Set blind rivet nut M10 with hand-held riveting device (1).
Grind the area (1) around the blind rivet nut (2) to bare metal.
Secure grounding cable (1) with screw (2).
Screws M10 tightening torque 41 11 7AZ .
Complete sealing of screw (2) and cable shoe of ground cable (1) with seam sealing.
Overview of changed positions:
Ground pins (1) to (3) cannot be set on the same position.
If the ground pin (3) is damaged, then the grounding cable screwed on there should be screwed on the position (2).
The grounding cables from position (2) are screwed on the new blind rivet nut on the rear side of cast part.
