Only Service: Close Glass Sunroof Manually

BMW Group Mobile Service 

	In the event of an electrical fault, the glass sunroof can be closed manually by a service partner or a qualified specialist workshop. Perform an initialization before manually closing the glass sunroof, see Initialize glass sunroof If the glass sunroof still cannot not be operated after the initialization, have the glass sunroof manually closed by a service partner or a qualified specialist workshop. Only service: Closing the glass sunroof manually  Pinch hazard  Observe glass sunroof during closing process and make sure the relative area is clear in order to prevent injuries or damages of all kind. Required tool:
	Plastic wedge Slotted screwdriver Hexagon socket wrench, AF 4mm Carefully lift off the plastic wedge medium trim and pull off with the hands towards the bottom. Press the retaining lugs for unlocking far inwards in direction of arrow with the aid of the slotted screwdriver and simultaneously carefully lever off the operating facility with the plastic wedge.
	3. Remove operating facility and allow it to hang by the wiring.
	4. If possible, pull off connector of drive unit, see arrow. Thereby, the effort required for turning is significantly reduced.
	5. Insert the hexagon socket wrench into the designated opening of the drive unit. 6. Turn the hexagon socket wrench to move the glass sunroof in the desired direction.
	7. Remove hexagon socket wrench. 8. Mount cover and operating facility again. Have glass sunroof checked by BMW Service immediately.
