Replacing pressure sensor on intake plenum (S55 Engine) (2019-2022)

Attention! 

Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Read out the fault memory of the DME control unit.
• Switch off ignition.

Removal: 

Release screws (1) from expansion tank for charge air cooler (2).

Lift expansion tank for charge air cooler (2) and lay to one side.

Unlock connector (1) and pull off.

Release screws (2) and pull out and remove pressure sensor (3).

Preparation for installation: 

Check sealing ring (1) for damage. Replace damaged sealing ring.

When installing, coat sealing ring with suitable lubricant.

Installation: 

Install pressure sensor (3) in intake plenum.

Tighten screws (2) on intake plenum.

Tightening torque 13 62 4AZ .

Attach connector (1).

Connector must audibly engage.

Install expansion tank for charge air cooler (2) in rubber mounts.

Tighten screws (1) of expansion tank for charge air cooler (2).

Tightening torque 17 10 7AZ .

Required reworking: 

• Erase fault memory of DME control unit.
