Activation of tailgate lock

The Rear Electronic Module (REM) controls the central locking system for the tailgate and the rear window. The Rear Electronic Module (REM) is responsible for status information on and activation of the central locking system for the tailgate and the rear window. The Rear Electronic Module (REM) is also responsible for activating the fuel filler flap. The Rear Electronic Module (REM) evaluates the signals from the hall effect sensors for locking of the tailgate and the rear window. The Rear Electronic Module (REM) relays this information via the K-CAN2 to the Front Electronic Module (FEM). The request to unlock the tailgate and rear window is received by the Rear Electronic Module (REM) from the Front Electronic Module (FEM) via the K-CAN2.
