Abs/ASC+T Hydraulic Unit: Removal

NOTE:
Before starting work, read out fault memory of ABS/ASC+T control module and print out diagnostic record.
- Turn toggle (1) through approximately 90 degrees and remove microfilter cover (2) towards front. See Fig 1.
- Remove microfilter element (1). See Fig 2.
- Unclip retainers (1) and feed cable out of cable duct. See Fig 3.
- Release screws (1) and remove microfilter housing towards front. See Fig 4.
- Detach rubber strip (1). Release locks (2) and pull side trim forwards a little. See Fig 5.
- Remove screws (1 and 2) and lift out heater bulkhead. See Fig 6.
- Remove vacuum line and B+ line from assembly compartment partition wall. Turn seals (1) through 90 degrees and thus unlock. Remove assembly compartment partition wall (2) towards top. See Fig 7.
- Remove brake master cylinder. See . MASTER CYLINDER
- Mark location of all brakelines at ABS/ASC+T hydraulic unit. Disconnect brake lines from ABS/ASC+T hydraulic unit and plug all openings.
- Unfasten and disconnect plug connection (1). Remove brakelines with rubber grommet from metal body and press in direction of engine. DO NOT bend brakelines. Release hexagon screw (2) and remove ABS/ASC+T unit towards top. See Fig 8.
- Remove screws (1) and carefully remove control module (2) from hydraulic unit (3). See Fig 9.
- Release screws (1). See Fig 10.
- Remove screw (1) and remove bracket (2) from hydraulic unit (3). See Fig 11.
