Activation of rear seat heating

Depending on the vehicle equipment, seat heating may also be installed in the rear passenger compartment. The switches for the seat heating are installed on the rear side of the center console.

The button signals from the seat-heating switch are transmitted to the Rear Electronic Module (REM) via the local interconnect network bus. The Rear Electronic Module (REM) generates a pulse-width modulated signal. This signal activates the seat heating module via the LIN bus. The front power distribution box supplies the two switches with terminal 30B.
