Hotel position switch

The tailgate can be separately double-locked with the hotel position switch.

When the hotel setting is selected, the tailgate also stays locked after the vehicle is unlocked. That means: It is not possible to open the tailgate via the rear lid button in the passenger compartment, the rear lid button, outside, or the rear lid button at the infrared remote key or at the ID transmitter.

The hotel position switch has 2 switch positions:

• Switch position double-unlocked
• Switch position secured

In the switch position secured, the hotel position switch connects to ground. The change in status is recorded in the front electronic module (FEM).
