Video switch (VSW)
The video switch (VSW) is installed depending on the vehicle equipment. The video switch (VSW) connects the connected video sources to the video sinks.
- Video sources:
- TRSVC control unit (rear view camera, top view cameras and front camera)
- Night vision electronics (night vision camera)
- DVD changer
- Video module
- Video sinks:
- Headunit
- Rear seat entertainment (RSE)
The video signals are shown over the video sinks in response to the request signal.
The video switch (VSW) has 5 inputs for video sources and 3 outputs for video sinks. Video signals from the cameras are transmitted over CVBS signals. The CVBS signal transmits color and luminance components as well as synchronization pulses over the differential signal line (CVBS+, CVBS-).
The video switch (VSW) is actuated by the video sinks over the body CAN. The video switch (VSW) converts the CAN message to a corresponding switching signal and establishes the connection between the desired video source and the requesting video sink.
