Failure of the component

If a shift paddle fails, the following behavior is to be expected:

A fault code is entered in the control unit in which the signals are evaluated.

• Fault entry in the transmission control unit (EGS), e.g. F25
• Fault code entry in the front electronic module (FEM), e.g. F20
• Fault entry in the steering column switch cluster (SZL) e.g. F01
• Fault code entry in the Body Domain Controller (BDC), e.g. F15
