Failure of the component

On the assist system operating facility, it is only possible in principle for individual buttons to fail. If individual buttons fail, the following behavior is to be expected:

• Fault code entry in Body Domain Controller (BDC)

  If the bus communication (LIN bus) between the driver assistance system operating facility and Body Domain Controller (BDC) is interrupted, the following behavior is to be expected:

• Fault code entry in Body Domain Controller (BDC)
• Check Control message in the instrument panel

A function check of the buttons can be run using the diagnosis system.
