Overheat protection

As overheat protection, the EPS reduces the nominal engine torque depending on the output stage temperature between 0 % and 100 %. Here, the EPS control unit carries out the reduction in the following steps:

• 100 % at 95 °C
• 60 % at 110 °C
• 0 % at 115 °C
