Welcome lights

The welcome lights are extended to the exterior lights. When the vehicle is unlocked, the following are activated in parallel with the interior lights:

• Side lights
• Taillamp
• Number plate light
• Ground lights
• Instrument lighting (terminal 58g)
• Side marker lights (US version)

The welcome lights are only switched on when the light switch is set to Automatic or low-beam headlights. The welcome lights are not switched on in positions 0 and 1. The customer thus has the option of deactivating the welcome lights.

The welcome lights can be activated a maximum of 5 times (20 seconds) for cycle protection.

The footwell module (FRM) switches the welcome lights off after approx. 20 seconds (dimming).

The switched-on period for the welcome lights can be extended to a maximum of 60 seconds. To do so, press the "Unlock" button while the welcome lights are active.
