Functional description

This section includes descriptions of the following components in the center console control panel:

Drive dynamic control switch and driving experience switch

The driving dynamic control switch is used to operate Dynamic Driving Control.

The new Dynamic Driving Control has the following innovations:

  1. All of the drive and driving stability control systems installed in the vehicle are activated. The central control unit for this is the Integrated Chassis Management (ICM).
  2. A number of different programs are available for selection:
    • COMFORT
    • NORMAL
    • SPORT
    • SPORT+

An extra mode is available if a driving experience switch is fitted: ECO PRO.

The selected program appears in the instrument cluster's display screen (KOMBI). Individual settings can be selected at the Central Information Display (CID) using the "Options" menu.

The DTC button can be used to select 3 switching states:

NOTE: Pressing the button for an excessively long period will result in a fault (DTC) entry!

If pressure is maintained on the Dynamic Drive or DTC button for more than 10 seconds a fault (DTC) will be registered by the Integrated Chassis Management (ICM). DSC assumes operation.

Button for bumper camera

The detection range of the cameras is a maximum of 100 meters. The images transmitted by both cameras appear simultaneously in the Central Information Display (CID). The bumper-mounted cameras are activated by pressing the button. The system is automatically deactivated once vehicle speed rises beyond 15 km/h.

PDC button

The PDC button switches the park distance control on or off (see Owner's Handbook). PDC provides driver support during parking maneuvers. Slow approaches to an object in front of or behind the vehicle are indicated by:
