Switchable coolant pump
A switchable coolant pump is used for the B48A20O motorization, European version.
A switching flap in the pump output closes the pump output by rotating clockwise. Due to the engine heating up faster, its fuel consumption is reduced.
A switching flap is adjusted with vacuum via a vacuum unit. Engine control activates an electric changeover valve. The electric changeover valve applies the vacuum to the vacuum unit.
